Songbirds – A Celebration of Female Musical Icons

An uplifting journey of song, celebrating some of the most iconic female singers and songwriters ever known. Devised and performed by acclaimed vocalists Mary Bourne and Jessa Liversidge, as well as special guest performers. Following the resounding sell-out successes of Songbirds in 2024 and 2025 in both London and Helmsley, Mary and Jessa are delighted to be bringing their 2026 version of the show to Easingwold Galtres Centre.

From classic pop songs through the decades (Carole King to Dolly Parton, Elkie Brooks to Annie Lennox, Estelle, and many more) to the hilariously clever comedy of Victoria Wood, as well as original songs by Mary and Jessa, this evening features a huge range of songs and styles, all brought together to celebrate the voices of women through the decades, and performed with a superb trio of live musicians.

Lots of songs you know and love, with a few surprises thrown in.

Special guests on the night will include singers from Jessa’s community choirs, Easingwold Community Singers and Helmsley Arts Centre Singers, as well as talented young guest soloists from the local area.
