Volunteers Welcome at Easingwold’s Community Hub

We offer the opportunity to volunteer in many areas of our vibrant and friendly Centre.  If you are interested in volunteering with us, just pop into the Centre and have a chat with the welcoming office team.

 

Our opportunities fit around your life-style, so it is not always necessary to commit to a regular weekly activity.  Many volunteers get involved when they can and find that being part of the friendly Galtres Centre team is a great way to meet friends and feel part of the community.

 

We have opportunities in the following areas and generally no experience is required as we are happy to train volunteers on the job.

 

Entertainment and Arts

 

We are proud of the range of events which take place in our Entertainment Centre.  Volunteer opportunities include front of house stewards who welcome and guide visitors to their seats and collect tickets.  The film projection team members are also volunteers and would welcome new people, with full training provided.  A perk of these volunteer roles is the opportunity to see a range of recorded and live events for free!

 

Catering and Bar

 

There are various volunteering opportunities in the catering and bar areas.  Chat to the office staff to find out more about joining the following volunteer teams:

 

• Friday Morning Coffee – serving hot drinks and scones to customers
• Refreshments – setting-up and serving refreshments for meetings and events
• Catering Team – preparing buffets for meetings and funeral teas
• Bar – serving behind the bar at Entertainment and Catering events
