La Traviata on Sydney Harbour Opera

This summer the Galtres Centre will be showing three operas from the Handra Opera Company of Sydney. The three, Aida, Turandot and La Traviata are staged on a massive floating stage in Sydney Harbour, with the bridge and opera house in the background.

Closing the season is Verdi’s ever popular La Traviata,with the water stage allowing a monumental 9 metre high, 3.5 ton chandelier covered in 10,000 Swarovski crystals to form the centre piece. Timeless arias, lively choreography coupled with spectacular costumes and stupendous fireworks will mean a brilliant end to this special season.
